2026 Hawaii Section Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement
The ASCE Hawaii Section annually recognizes an exemplary civil engineering project as the Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement (OCEA). This prestigious award recognizes the project that best illustrates superior civil engineering skills and represents a significant contribution to civil engineering progress and society.
Deadline to Submit is August 7, 2026
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Hawaii Section is seeking nominations for the 2026 Hawaii Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement (OCEA) Awards, which honors the best and brightest achievements within the local civil engineering industry. Various awards will be given to those projects that demonstrate innovative and outstanding civil engineering accomplishments by Hawaii's design and construction professionals.
Nominated projects and research/studies will be considered for eleven award categories. Awards may be given in all categories if a sufficient number of worthy nominations are received. Only one project will be selected as the overall winner, being recognized as the 2026 Hawaii Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award Winner.

2025 OCEA AWARDS
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Hawaii Section is pleased to announce the 2025 Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement (OCEA) Award winners. The purpose of this award program is to recognize projects that demonstrate important outstanding civil engineering accomplishments by Hawaii’s design and construction professionals.
To be eligible, projects were required to have been designed or constructed in Hawaii and completed within the last two years. Some of the key judging criteria included: resourcefulness in planning and solving design challenges; contributions to the well-being of people and communities; pioneering use of materials and methods; innovations in construction; minimization of impact on physical environment; and composite application.
