LESTER FUKUDA ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP

The engineering community is proud to announce the Lester Fukuda Engineering Scholarship, established to honor the legacy of Lester Fukuda and support the next generation of engineers in Hawaiʻi. This one-time scholarship will provide financial assistance to students pursuing engineering degrees within the University of Hawaiʻi system, helping them achieve their educational and professional goals.
About the Scholarship
The scholarship is intended to recognize aspiring engineers who demonstrate dedication to their education and a commitment to the engineering profession. Preference will be given to students with financial need, helping ensure that talented and deserving students have the opportunity to continue their academic journey.
Eligible applicants must:
- Be a Hawaiʻi high school graduate.
- Be enrolled in the University of Hawaiʻi system as an engineering student or working toward an engineering major.
- Be a freshman or continuing undergraduate student.
- Submit a scholarship application, including an essay response.
Support the Scholarship Fund
The scholarship is being administered through the ASCE Hawaii Section, which will facilitate donation collection, scholarship promotion, and award distribution. Donations made to the scholarship fund will directly support the scholarship award and help invest in Hawaiʻi's future engineering leaders. Contributions are tax-deductible, as the ASCE Hawaii Section is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
